What is the difference between gas, electric, and dual-fuel stoves?
With a gas stove, both the hob and the oven run on gas, while with an electric one, both run on electricity. In a combined appliance, the hob has gas burners, but the oven is electric — many people choose this because the gas flame can be adjusted immediately, and the heat distribution of the electric oven is more even. Which one is right for you depends on your kitchen's features and your cooking habits; it is worth discussing this in person, in front of the appliances.
What should I look out for regarding the installation dimensions?
Measure the width and depth of the space intended for the stove, as well as the height of the countertop, and account for the clearance around the appliance and the space required for the opening oven door. For a gas appliance, the location of the gas connection is crucial, for an electric one, the appropriate electrical connection is decisive, and it is also worth checking the clearance height under the cooker hood.
